چکیده

Present experiment was conducted to study the effect of feeding lucerne straw and urea treated wheat based TMR (Total Mixed Ration) on nutrients intake, digestibility nutrients, rumen parameters, microbial protein synthesis enteric methane emissions in crossbred bullocks. Experiment 15 bullocks for 50 days using Completely Randomized Design. The animals control group (T1) were fed with 70% 30% concentrate. experimental T2 35% straw, concentrate whereas, T3 intakes parameters not affected by treatments. Digestibility coefficients crude (CP), ether extract (EE) hemicellulose (HC) did differ significantly among groups. Similarly, dry matter (DM) nitrogen-free (NFE) between T1 & group, significant reduction reported group. Crude fibre (CF), NDF (neutral detergent fibre), ADF (acid fibre) cellulose higher whereas noted NDF, as compared Rumen improved 17.22% (p>0.05) but almost similar value Average daily emission reduced 16.20% 17.71%, energy loss form (CH4) % gross intake (GEI) groups numerically 11.10% 15.66% (p>0.05), Hence, inclusion helped reducing

Broiler Litter and Urea-treated Wheat Straw as Feedstuffs

Thirty-two Alpine doelings (15 wk of age, 12 ± 2.05 kg) were randomly allocated to four treatments to evaluate the use of deep-stacked broiler litter (BL) and urea-treated wheat straw (UWS) as feedstuffs. In all treatments, UWS or untreated wheat straw (WS) was fed for ad libitum consumption along with a concentrate supplement fed at a prescribed percentage of BW. Treatments were: U B a corn-ba...

Effect of Feeding Dietary Treated Wheat Straw with Urea and Whey on Fattening Lambs Performance

This study was conducted to evaluate the effect of feeding treated wheat straw with urea and whey on fattening lambs performance. About 4.5 kg urea and 1.5 kg salt were dissolved in 40 L water and mixed with 30 L of whey. The solution was spread over 100 kg chopped wheat straw. Thirty two male lambs were randomly divided into four feeding groups to compare performance with diets based on barley...

In vitro evaluation of Salinomycin addition in wheat straw based total mixed diets on rumen fermentation

Aim: The aim of the current study was to evaluate the effect of salinomycin in vitro on methanogenesis and rumen fermentation. Materials and Methods: Different levels of (0,10, 15 and 20 ppm) salinomycin were checked for their effect on in vitro methanogenesis and rumen fermentation on three wheat straw based diets i.e. low fiber diet (LFD, 40R:60C), medium fiber diet (MFD, 50R:50C) and high fi...

Effect of urea treated paddy straw supplementation on the performance of crossbred cows

An experiment was conducted on eight crossbred cows of similar age (4-5 yr) and body weight (306.96 ± 12.57 kg) to elucidate the effect of urea treated paddy straw supplementation on their feed intake, milk production and blood biochemical profiles. Crossbred cows were randomly divided into two equal groups and fed a concentrate mixture and paddy straw to meet their nutrient requirement. Group ...

Microbial degradation in the rumen of wheat straw and anhydrous ammonia treated wheat straw observed by electron microscopy.

With the exception of the phloem and the crown of the parenchyma, which borders the medullary lacuna, the walls of the tissues of both treated and untreated straw were lignified. The walls of the treated straw were not fluorescent in the ultraviolet probably because the treatment had modified the phenolic acids. They also had a stronger reaction to Schiff reagent particularly in the sclerenchym...
